Got it on ebay from China for $5 au. since i have aheadlight switch fitted i thought i run this LED light permantley with the key on. Guess its more show than go but itdoes look effective close up. Its like a park light or something to tell me the ignition is on. May look into buying a CREE LED light which is 6 inches long and it may tuck into the same area
Then strip light above is identical to one i fitted used about 18w 3wx6 .
It has super light and i have wired it with a switch so i can use direct from battery as a handy camp light .
Its tough aswell droped and crashed and still fine .
On the euro ttr it will mount to the bottom headlamp bolt if u use a longer allen bolt .
It s brighter than the 55w bosch headlamp bulb .
Very interesting comerah. The switch for camping sounds like a good idea. My main reason for the CREE led is to save the generator. And day time road use. i guess i could have a police blue light flashing on my helmet. Even then some of the other road users may still not see me coming. Alot of mobile phone users here driving cars. Some even text and drive. If i notice a driver pulling out of a side street or attempting a U turn i do not take my eyes of that vehical. Had two close calls lately at slow speeds. If i wasnt alert i may have ended up on there car bonnet. Guess motorcycles being so small are hard to see for some drivers. My train of thought is. Rider beware And expect the unexpected.
best thing since sliced bread. Low power usage and its like looking into the sun. Now i dont want to be remembered by the highway patrol cops as a ( rider with a 70s style motocross helmet on a blue trail bike with the strip led headlight.
Here is my approach to alert cagers with LEDS. I have more info in my intro thread. Two cheap LEDS, a resistor, a fuse and switch and a couple of holes in the barkbusters. Nice and bright and under $20 all up. Supposedly a triangle of light is more visible to cars than anything else.
