Hello I just bought a 2005 ttr250 with a ffm pipe, an it is running me in circles.

it has fresh fluids, new air filter an battery, the bike starts right up no problem but after about 45 min or so of slow trail riding it begins to bog out an dies. It will only start with the choke on an them idles high as the sky an choke or not you cannot touch the throttle without it killing it. If it sits for 2 hours or so starts right back up just fine. Could this be a jetting issue, carb?? any help would be appriciated

Hi Chrisj796,

Sounds to me like the vent hole in your petrol filler cap is blocked causing a vacuum in the tank after the bike has been running for a time.

Suggest you try releasing the tank cap when/if this happens again to see if the tank is under vacuum.

Good luck

Sean
