I'm in the process of prepping my '94 Raid for a frame paintwork freshen up and noticed the left hand footpeg mount is welded to the frame and the right hand one is bolted on. Is this how they come from the factory? Maybe a silly question.......................thanks!

The actual footpeg is not welded on on either sides, it can be removed by taking out the split-pin that holds the clevis pin in.
Although this is probably stating the obvious.

Thanks Jarrah, I can see where the peg is removeable via the pin, but I can see in Martyn's photo the LH mount is welded to the frame . Maaate, these foorests are tiny! I have a set of Fastway pegs on my BMW GS and they are great for riding whilst standing. I can see a footrest mod happening once the TTR is on the road in August

Yeah, imagine the UK pegs, they are not as wide as the US/AU ones.
I don't have a problem with mine, they are okay but could be a little wider- but I do with the ones on my CT200, you have to look twice and concentrate just to see them- MAAaate! .
