if yer leave the bike with a full tank sitting in the sun... they can pop off as the fuel/air in the tank exspands.. don't know how meany time i have picked the one on the XTR off the ground beside the bike...
to stop it... put hole in the rubber tube with a pin.. no fuel worth talking about comes out the hole..

Mine lasted all of 4 rides (offroad) before causing fuel flow problems. It blocked up with dirt and I was more than happy to throw it away when I got home and not use any (rather than buy the expensive Yamaha one-way valve, one day when I am rich I may).
