Thnx for the photos. How do you get away with the number plate on the rear gaurd. Cops here in NSW TWEED HEADS would book you strait away. I wish i could have only one rear vision mirror but both Are the law.

never had any trouble here with the number palate and one mirror , same laws as you .
cant see the plate as is and the mirror is useless --but haven't been done for it
I was pulled up- by the cops just about to go into the bush ended up with a very keen policeman pulling his gun on me and sending the police women to check my licence I started to chuckle it was so ridiculous and when asked why I said I must be a good thief I've stolen a full set of riding gear and it all fits and matches the bike the policewomen had god laugh , had his moment of glory and sent me on the way .
I tend to be pulled up about once a month for a licence check and breath test but no other problems with them
and the excuse was I checked my mirrors and it a sign I might not have a license. Work that one out..
yeah had that one too.
As for number plates and mirrors I'm in NSW and we have it easy in the manning valley . My brother in sydney got a defect for the rear reflector wasn't the correct angle between the Rego plate and rear axle .

Thanks for posting up the pics - proper outback territory
Brian
Actually Brian, that is not outback at all, more like bushland. This is a fine example of the ''outback'', notice how there is not many trees and they are not bushland trees-
Nice pictures Les, thanks for sharing.
Jarrah

I was reading Tim Flannery's Future Eaters book a while ago and was interested to discover that Australian animals have some of the smallest brains of any animals on the planet. Dry and desert animals develop small brains so as not to use up too much energy apparently. The Roo, Emu and Koala have some of the lowest brain power for their size on the planet! Doesn't surprise anyone from AU I bet! Roos and Emus all run out in front of vehicles like they were magnets but the feral goats bolt way before they can get hit.
And I thought I should add; any smart comments from non-Aussie members on the size of Aussie human brain size will be dealt with by us running out in front of your car next time we are in your part of the world.
