An excellent example of this sought-after bike. It starts and runs well.
All spares are readily available by mail order from somewhere like Fowlers or over the counter at your local Yamaha dealer. Very little changed other than cosmetics between 1993 and 2006 so there are no worries about getting the correct spare part as can be the case with Honda XR250s etc.
There is a good range of after-market accessories for the TTRs see http://www.totallyttrs.com/ . Lots of information on this very popular and sought after bike at www.ttr250.com
Very economical and will do a day's trail riding on a tank of petrol. Plus it has an "all-day" comfy seat unlike more enduro-based machines.
The TR250 is a perfect beginner's trail bike but also suitable for the more experienced rider who realises that it isn't necessary to have a big engine to enjoy themselves on Devon's technical lanes.
There are a few cheaper TTRs around but the choice is yours. This one is in very good order – you won’t be disappointed!
Excellent value at £2,350
Bank transfer or cash on collection preferred please.

Wow - stunning bike and interesting decals which sets it apart from the usual stock. Going to be Christmas come early for someone. Out of interest - what gearing and tyres did you opt for?

Sometimes, you just want to go for a ride.........
I've see it and it's lovely, I can't justify having 3. I'd hazard a guess at 14/52 gearing from the look of it, and a Mitas C02/C19 combo on the tyres. But Brian'll have to confirm that...
The TTR is now pretty much run in. I have put nearly 500 careful miles on the TTR since the rebuild and have enjoyed tootling around on it for the last few weeks.
I have updated the original advert with some extra work I have done which includes new chain and sprockets.
Time for it to go now and make space for my next project so I have reduced the price to £2,400 which I think is still good value - only I know how many hours went into the rebuild - and I am not telling Mrs TTR!
Can't believe you have not sold it yet What a sorted bike, if you would PX mine for £2,000 I will have it Is that NO or YES Honestly if you are in the market for the best trail bike ever, buy THIS ONE. Sorry to shout
