I fitted a new timing chain this afternoon and have created a new picture guide.

I was helping a mate sort out noisy camchain-type noise this morning and was a bit taken aback by the position of his cam sprockets
Normally, a worn camchain is indicated by the sprocket timing lines canting the other way.
I cannot explain this except to think that the camchain is very worn and is actually a tooth out Anyone else have a possible different explanation?
A new camchain is on its way to my mate from Steve at Totally TTRs so will be able to compare old with new very soon
I confess to having had to look at my own guide to removing the camchain to check what had to be removed

That was one of my first thoughts Daniel but I checked it and its got a strong spring and is working well. Both chain slippers are in excellent condition.
Not got 2 head gaskets on by mistake?
Now, there's a thought! That certainly would explain it....
Comparing the new and old chains there is apparently quite a difference so maybe we just go with the new chain and see what's what
New chain fitted - sprockets line up nicely - horrible noise gone - job jobbed
