I'm guessing this could be a contributer on why my bike is running poorly. I found a break in my air box boot. Well, it's at the top, right where the little bottle thingy attaches to it. Is this removable? Or do I need to find the entire boot? Maybe I can get away with siliconing around it? It's splitting away and is only about half an inch. The slice/break is right where the little induction bottle enters the boot.
Just checked online for the intake parts diagram. The bottle does come off. Unfortunately, the break is right on the edge of the neck that the bottle connects to. Meaning, I either need a new air box side intake boot, or I have to successfully repair this one. Any suggestions on what to use for the repair method? I'm guessing something that can flex while still holding a seal?
