Hello. Im also in NSW far north near Tweed heads. We seem to be similar ages with similar age bikes. Mines 2006 model and never been bush bashed( as yet ) i will be doing alot of beach riding in July. I guess i will be spraying alot of WD 40 over the TTR FOR PROTECTION. and like yourself the TTR will be in my garage for as long as i can twist the throttle. So are you pretty sure you have bought the last new TTR in aussyland. Ive notice there are a few late model TTRs for sale here with only 900 kms or so for sale. Although theres nothing like NEW. enjoy.
hi all,i just joined the forum, bought a brand new ttr today, last one in captivity in nsw australia, will never sell it.
Welcome - Glad the "last one" went to someone smart enough to find this place!:)
Hope you ride it in stock form, long enough to appreciate how Yama made this little bike FUN right out of the box! Many good folks here to help with any mod's you may have in mind later.

Hey Mark
If your going to ride on the beach a lot don't use WD40, it's pretty useless because it dries out, a much better product is INOX MX3 spray oil
Also there is INOX MX4, lanolin spray, made from the oil in wool which I also use, this one has no smell so it's good to use in the house, they both take forever to dry out and lubricates better
It's a bit more expensive than WD40 but you use a lot less, I use the MX3 on my rifle and it always has a slight oily film even after weeks of sitting in the safe.
I'm using the MX4 on the bike as an experiment ATM, they both work well on the chain and sprockets
Cheers
