Modifying a Totally TTRs tail tidy

This is the standard stainless steel tail tidy as supplied by Totally TTRs here:

It was designed to take the standard number plate light as below:

Or it will take an LED number plate light if preferred, as in the example pictured below:

I have used up my supply of used TTR number plate lights and favour something more akin to the original. Plus I have also run out of brackets for the original TTR indicators so needed to find substitutes. I therefore decided to make some mods to the tail tidy as I did on my last TTR rebuild to take the after-market number plate light and our small indicators. I also decided to take a few more pics this time!

I drilled some holes to mount the light and indicators and then sprayed the tail tidy in satin black. This is the "kit" ready to put together:

This is the kit assembled and ready to fit:

And here it is fitted ready for (a) soldering on some cable extensions, (b) connecting up the wires and (c) fitting the number plate!

I just need to brave the torrential downpours now and go out into the workshop to finish the installation off cry

At least you have been busy, Brian.

That looks a very neat and workman-like solution.

A very tidy tail tale. biggrin

It's a pity the rain is so persistent. confuse

Thanks Martyn biggrin

Pity about the weather. My brother-in-law is taking his motorbike test and started yesterday when we had a few showers but he is training again today so will be absolutely soaked through no

It should be all worth it if he passes as he has a very tidy TTR waiting to be taken trail riding wink
