Raid Wiring Diagram
Permalink

Can anyone point me to a wiring diagram for a 1994 Raid. Trying to get it ready for an MOT but need to fit a horn and a brake light switch to the front brake. Have bought a hydraulic banjo switch as there are no wires or switch present on the bike. Also can someone tell me what the two wires I have loose behind the front light (Just fitted a new Polisport Halo which works perfect but no sidelight connection) are. They have been neatly cut sometime in the past and the colours are Blue and Brown. I know Blue is live. I wonder what they were for.

I have an OE loom here which is pretty much the same as the Raid but can't find your blue and brown wires.  I think they probably belonged to the old brake light switch as that uses blue/brown wiring - the loom connector is just to the right of the horn connectors in one of the pics below. New switches are readily available e.g. here.

The pic below shows what the connectors behind the headlight are:

The brake light connector (brown and yellow wires) is tucked in between the frame and shock reservoir.

The horn wires are pink and brown.

I hope the pics help you trace the wires back into the loom.

I have the loom beside me now if you have any more questions smile

Just want to thank everyone for their help. Wiring sorted thanks to you. Passed the test and on the road. Mixture was a mile out (4 turns instead of 2 2-5. I noticed a bit of blue smoke. The guy I bought this off filled the tank with 2T to stop rust but I suspect valve stem seals need a swop out because it has been stood for three years. I'll let you know.
