Cheers!!
Took the TTR out for my first "proper" off road ride a couple of days ago. Went with "Nick" from the local TTR group. 8.00 to 4.00 in the Peak District saw me going well outside my previous comfort zone. Steep wet stone steps, ruts, rivers, and more mud than I care to think about. Brilliant time. I seem to have a close affinity with dry stone walls which is interesting. A sticking throttle helped to prompt one particularly close embrace! That throttle was soon fixed! The bike and my kit have now been jetwashed. A couple of bruises and a few aches and pains are well worth it. The bike did well. It seemed to have more idea about what to do than me anyway. The rear end has now been bent back so the registration plate and mudguard line up with the wheel (only about 5 degrees off, fixed with 5' of 2x2). Also need a new indicator lens and a fork gaiter. Then I'll be ready for the next outing!
Happy New Year!!!
