Hi

Just wondering if the shocks from the 2004 onwards bike are same as early open enduros, found a progressive rear spring from Hyperpro to fit but says only for 2004 onwards.

Thanks

Sam.

AFAIK all the yellow springs on TTR250 OEs from 1993 onwards are the same.

Interested to know why you want to swap yours out Sam - aren't all shock springs "progressive" ?

Brian

By ''progressive'' they mean that the spring is coiled stiffer at the bottom than it is at the top, unlike the standard spring that uses the same sprung coil right the way through.

Correct! See here (although it doesn't show 1993~1999)- http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-4GY-22212-01-P0.html

See more info on the progressive spring (translated by Bing) here - http://www.microsofttranslator.com/BV.aspx?ref=IE8Activity&a=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hyperpro.com%2Fhyperpro%2Fen%2Fnode%2F31

No problems, please inform us when fitted and taken for a good ride. It would be good to see the difference it makes.

The springs are thicker and more tightled coiled so should be better load wise too and better when mines been serviced and regassed
