Bar risers and fatbars: longer cables/hoses required?

I'm going to fit raisers and fatbars to my TTR soon. Does the stock throttle/clutch cables and brake hose need lengthening?

It depends how much higher the risers are. confuse

I got away with putting less than 12mm extensions on mine and didn't have to lengthen the cables. Any higher and it would have been a nip and tuck. hmm

However, never fear - although there are other suppliers in the world, Totally TTRs have extended cable sets on their site HERE

Usually the brake hose isn't a problem. At least I have never heard that it has been.

You can get some extra play on the throttle cables by separating the throttle body from the starter switch and swivelling it around 180 degrees so that the cables route under the bars.

I have 30mm risers & fat bars... CR high bend...
the standard clutch cable just makes it...
Throttle cable is no prob...
I have one of Brian's long clutch cable to go on...

I managed to fit +30mm risers AND Dakar high bars with the stock front hose and stock throttle/clutch cables. It took a little tweaking: the throttle was inverted so the cables exited the bottom of the bar, for the clutch cable I re-routed it so it didn't pass round the front right of the frame head tube but went past the left side and under the tank, this gives just enough extra length.
