I noticed when I took the tank off a hole on top of the carb manifold pipe, to me it looks like someone has cut something off as the hole is nice and round, should there be a pipe or something connected to it, I'm a bit conserned that water might get into it and into the engine
Are you sure the hole is in part 1 on the fiche above or is it in part 14?
If it's in part 1 then it may be that someone had a vacuum line there such as for a Scottoiler. They then removed the accessory and didn't blank the hole
Thanks again Brian for your help, The hole is in part 14, on mine it looks as though someone has cut off the upstanding flange and thrown away item 21, what should I do,?

Oh no, somebody cut off your YEIS. The carb manifold joint is part N1. above.
I would suggest to find another airbox or at least cover the hole with some RTV silicone.

Ported & polished, 73mm bore, Wizeco piston, US header pipe, FMF Q4, #150 main jet, #52.5 pilot jet, throttle stop screw adjusted, larger snorkel, GYT-R air filter, NGK Iridium spark plug, 14/51 gearing, NOS +
Thanks for the info Jarrah, what I have done is cut a short length of plastic central heating pipe with a stop end on it and pushed it in the hole, its a good tight fit so should be waterproof, now the serch begins for the replacement parts,
