Well I got the Stator and Regulator. Took a week and a half from USA (Caltric on Amazon- £107 including everything) Due to the protective sheath around the wires being larger than the OE part on the wire length area the cover it was a litthe more difficult to fit than the OE part. But apart from that both parts went together ok. Now getting 14.5 Volts charge rate. Been riding for hundred miles or so and all seems ok. Resistance of the new stator was 1.4 ohms - Yamaha spec is 1.2 to 1.4 - so maybe something to be concerned about here.
Will update if any problems.

Hello. Not meaning to hijack this thread and this might sound dumb (sorry I'm no mechanic) but is it possible to fit a stator from a different motorcycle to our TTR? This bike is quite rare around here and rewinding the stator costs a lot more than buying a replacement stator from a common cheap motorcycle here in the Philippines.
