Did the preload knock some height of the rear and also did the drop at the front help compensate for that.
Ive got a 2 inch lowering kit in the rear but havent dropped the front thru yet. Kinda feels a bit weird but i havent ridden a dirt bike in 20 yrs....
Cheers K
just trying to loose some seat height, I'm not real tall & have trouble touching the ground, while the XR400 is tall it's got plenty of grunt & does not stall.
I dropped the front to try & keep both ends much the same, I can get both feet on tippy toes now, bit better for me
I come to the conclusion I would prefer being able to have more contact with the ground instead of being on tippy toes but also wanted to keep the ground clearance. I purchased a new seat cover and shaped the seat foam using a normal wire brush, was the perfect tool, light strokes took away the foam without gouging out large lumps, took my time and took a fair amount of foam out then replaced the cover.
Now I comfortably got both balls of my feet on the ground without any other alteration to the suspension which I'd already setup for rider sag.
