I wondered if anyone has fitted plastic fork guards (bottom of forks) on the TTR? There seem to be loads out there so one must fit ...

Thanks

Hey Mike,

The TTR250 does not need plastic fork gaurds as they are not USD forks.

Just about all YAMAHA fork guards are the same though. From the 125's to the 450's, they are all the same.

Not sure why you would need these as fork gaiters should stop any rocks damaging the forks.

Thanks for the reply...its to protect the paintwork really on the lower forks. On previous bikes they soon look wrecked with stones, branches and anything else I can hit on the way through biggrin

If it is for the paintwork you could try to find a pair of these YAMAHA ones.

Apparently, Adam's (old) bike came standard with these but they must be like trying to find rocking horse sh#t.

I've can't say I'm a fan of those yamaha fork guards, just something about them that makes the bike look ugly,I can see the practical sense in them but as for looks a BIG no from me. (fussy bugger!)

I am also wanting to know if the lower fork guards will bolt right on, not for any protection but for the "RACE" look. They just look cool. Call me weird, but thats me. :D
