It was a great day - blue skies and sunshine!

I only took 4 pics so might as well include them all.

There were 2 tracks laid out.

The most popular was the MX track with non-intimidating jumps that could just be ridden over with both wheels on the floor or you could give it some throttle and get some air if you felt confident.

There was also a very long track set out in the woods with both easy and hard sections clearly signed. I rode the easy section first with my brother Trev and we worked up quite a sweat. We were dressed properly for the open ground at the top but were well over-dressed for the woods and worked up quite a sweat!

I met up with a mate, Steve, who had a "moment" on his TTR trying a "hard" section which involved a drop off into a stream. He got it a bit Pete Tong and cartwheeled the TTR and lost his headlight and number plate  and holder. He didn't look too unhappy about it though!

Another mate, Mark, managed to lose a side panel in the woods and, surprisingly, it wasn't found!

There was another OE at the event ridden by Bob, now in his 72nd year, but I didn't get a pic. He was doing lap after lap of the MX track and was clearly enjoying himself!

I decided that I would try the hard sections in the woods but, after getting onto the track a ways, decided better of it after realising that my riding was a bit erratic and better not to risk breaking the bike 

All in all a great day and thanks to the Devon TRF for laying it on, providing excellent track marking and marshalling plus a burger and tea van 

Arms aching now so am taking it easy for the rest of the day and am leaving the TTR to be power washed tomorrow!

Sounds, and looks, to have been an excellently satisfying day, Brian; for participants AND organisers.

A beautiful day chosen for it too - no rain to dampen or spoil the wooded section, what a bonus.

How do they do it? A few lambs/goats sacrificed I'll bet.

Cleaning - I thought you had staff to do that (Trish?) - it's certainly not an age thing, you're still young.

That was amongst the stickiest mud I've power washed for some time, very similar the Welsh mud that we used to pick up in their bogs.
Got family over tomorrow, so it needed to be washed today, plus I was filthy myself, so best time to get it done
Quick blast up the road to dry it off, lube the chain, WD40 on all metal surfaces and in the shed she goes
