48 pilot and 137-5 main jets 1.jpg

48 pilot and 137-5 main jets 2.jpg

I just took these out of a carb that I put back to UK (blue) standard 147/50 jetting.

The pilot jet is a 48 measuring 18mm long and 5mm wide - I am pretty sure its a standard Tekei/Yamaha part. It's too short for a Mikuni.

The main jet is a 137.5 measuring 9mm long and 6mm wide. It looks like a Tekei (see here) as the ring around it meets the bottom of the screwdriver slot but only Mikuni seem to list a 137.5 - see here. Not sure what the RD stands for confuse

Anyone recognise them?

Brian

The #48 is definatly a standard Yamaha jet for the older metal tank models.

Not sure about the main but it does seem to be a Mikuni but your guess is as good as mine as to what the ''RD'' stands for

Does this help? RD stands for Racing Designs.

Wow - an excellent bit of sleuthing Matt - many thanks indeed!

I am unlikely to use them but that's another bit of TTR "knowledge" to add to the memory banks!

Anyone need a #137.5 Racing Designs Mikuni-copy main jet? No sensible offer refused wink

That sure does help & the pic is big enough to see why it's a so called racing design. It has a tapered orifice.
