Just signed up and wanted to know where I can get a flywheel puller to fit an '03 TTR 250. Apparently they are not available at Yamaha dealers here anymore, and trying to find an aftermarket one has been a real pain. Can anyone tell me what size I need and any suggestions for here in the states as to where I can get one? I read the sticky about the KD#730 thread chaser but I don't know for sure if it's the right one. Also should I be looking for right or left hand thread for the puller? Also, unfortunately I don't have am impact wrench I can use.
I'm trying to change my sprag clutch, and I have the flywheel bolt off but can't get the flywheel off to complete the job. Thanks, I really appreciate it!
The spindle for the rear wheel works well. Totallyttrs sell them, I have the one that doesn't need a flywheel holder, and works very well. Good luck with the spragg. Adrian.
sorry for the misleading info, they must have changed them because i'm pretty sure the old Yammy ones were, but they looked totaly different from the one Brian showed, i guess it just shows that you learn something new every day
Cheers

A simple (and cheap) M18 x 1.25 x 40 bolt works perfectly well if you don't feel pulling out the rear wheel axle. Or paying silly prices for pullers that are essentially M18 x 1.25 x 40 bolts....
