Important: Activeboard Forum Posts Issue!!
January 11, 2013, 10:40 am

We are currently experiencing a minor caching issue with our servers. In order to keep our forums loading the fastest on the internet, we do a lot of aggressive caching of content on pages. A recent update to a few popular web browsers was leading to some incorrect caching, which meant that it looked like: Posts were disappearing, Invalid key errors, Posts not appearing when they should, Posts published in the wrong order, etc. A fix has already been issued online. Since it takes around 7 days for cache on our servers to expire, you might still experience some issues until then. In the meantime, to view your threads properly, please use the "force reload" function on your web browser to refresh (Hit Shift+F5 or CTRL+F5 on you keyboard). An alternative would be to clear your browser cache every time.

These problems should have been resolvd by now. I use Chrome and its working fine. Anyone else still having problems?

I know that Jarrah isn't able to see my pics. Anyone else having problems seeing mine or anyone else's?

Brian

Yes Brian this is happening but i'm running Internet Explorer 9 Bing enhanced......I press F12.......Go to cache........Then click always refresh from sever. It takes longer to load but refreshes the browser cache.

Thanks for letting me know as i was starting to wonder

I am having the same issue Jarrah with Chrome. My replies include the original message even though I am not "quoting" cry

I wonder if this is either ActiveBoard trying to be helpful or they have made a mistake in their upgrade no

To overcome the slight problem of repetition - rather than hitting the "Reply" button start your response in the "Quick Reply" box and before submitting your reply click on the "Advanced Editor" option on the bottom.

This will then send your composition into the proper reply page without the quoting garbage. biggrinawwsmile

At the start i thought having to use IE9 was bad because it quotes when you don't want to.........

I have now tried using Opera,Firefox,Google Chrome & all are worst.

Firefox comes up with the reload tab when you want to paste (right clicking) & when you want to paste the reload tab comes up nononono Also it would still quote sometimes. The font was good with some pages but really old school with others... disbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

Chrome made no difference to the quotes but was a little quicker, good font & had no trouble pasting or reloading the page. It ended up crashing too much soo off it went. (Could have something to do with me not being happy furious with google for the offensive adds that they load on your screen after stealing cookies disbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief )

Opera was hit & miss with the quotes but made replying very hard. The font size went so small it was hard to read when you open a message. Other than that font was good & it loads quickly. It is the worse for pasting & reloading the page as it never knows what it's doing in this regard. Can't paste or reload sometimes period! disbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

IE on the other hand quotes but all is good (as it can be). I'll stick with IE9 Bing Enhanced myself.

...............................

Jarrah.
