well my rear brake pedal pin has sheared at top the thread so no hope of bolting a quick fix in there, got about 6 or 7 cable ties lashed to it and and seems to hold, just wondering how I'd carrying the repair out as not easy access really stumped, and rear wheel bearings have gone would they make a clunking sound when braking
The method I used was to drill out the remains of the bolt (without damaging the threads) and then use a punch to get the remains out as there wasn't room to get an easy-out in there.
Easy to check wheel bearings - grab the wheel firmly on opposite sides and see if there is movement when you rock it. My MOT man doesn't like there to be any discernible movement.....
I don't think worn wheel bearings wouldclunk on braking. I think you need to take a closer look to check there is nothing loose, damaged or badly worn in the disc/sprocket/ hub area Sammy.
Just to confirm what Brian said.....If it is clunking then rotor & pads should be checked. Never heard wheel bearing clunk...more of a whirring & loose side to side.
I have managed to drill quite a few bolts out & use a punch for the rest of it. Never done it for the brake pedal bolt (but nearly had to :)

I was thinking the clunk could be from braking when using rear as wheel may move to the side due to movement in the bearing, only happened since bearings have failed.

Have you replaced the bearings and, if so, does it still clunk?

Your bearings must be really bad
Will be good to hear if it is them (not saying it is'nt)

Just had a quick look at the thread, is it deffinetly the wheel bearings, just thought it could be the swinging arm bearings that are shot, that would possibly cause a clunk when braking and you would feel the free play through the wheel??
Defently the wheel bearings as side ways movement in wheel itself, oh well just use bike untill I can sort them, think the seals off wemoto should be correct,
wheel bearings changed, the one on the disc brake side had indeed collapsed cam out in 4 or 5 small pieces and bottom of the bearing had to be ground out, new bearins in and well fantastic
