Do TTRs have a sump screen?

Hi, I've seen some scary looking stuff posted on some other forums of LARGE bits of engine caught in sump screens which made me wonder if TTR even have one, in addition to the filter?

Did the requisite oil/filter change when I got the bike but you never know how it may have been looked after.

Happy Holidays to all!

Yep - see pic below - the screen is to the left of the oil pump at the bottom of the sump. You are looking at the seal side of the gauze filter screen which stops big lumps of "stuff" entering the oil pump wink

And Seasons Greetings to you and yours smile

Yes they have a filter screen. You will have to take your clutch housing off to get to it. It's near the oil pump. Pays to clean it when you do 3 oil changes (at the least).

Thank you, gents. Haven't had the case off before, sounds like I need to add that to the list of winter projects.
