Greetings all,

I thought I would post my build as suggested by Jarrah.

I picked up a 04 ttr250 from a old farmer up here in ND, USA.

It was the first one I've ever seen for sale in this area and thought I'd snap it up.

Here's what I started with, minus the seat.

Headlight and handguards removed and replaced with front MX plate from a TTR 230.

Took off the stock front fender and put on one from a TTR230.

Also, pulled the rear swingawm and shock to repack and replace the bearings.

Just kind of experimenting...

Jets installed (140 main, 52.5 pilot), airbox snorkel removed, holes drilled up top, twin air installed...

I have the decompressor plug oil leak.  The paper towel was not a factory option... 

Also installed a polosport front fender with the air holes in the back.  

Again, more experimenting.

Not sure which one I like more.  Open to opinions.

Got the exhaust installed.  

WOW!  LOUD!

Much lighter and seems to have really woke it up.

Still repacking/replacing bearings.  I ended up having 2 that had wear on them, but all the others looked good.

I also put on 30mm risers with Renthal CR bend bars along with new grips.

Not sure if I will have to get longer cables yet.  I may be able to get by with some minor rerouting.

I removed the rear light as well.  Still looking to try to fit some sort of MX rear fender.

I ordered the UFO universal one and the color doesn't come close.  Sending it back.

If anyone has any ideas on one that will work, let me know.

Hoping to finish the swingarm, mount new tires, recover seat, and install new graphics ASAP.

To upload them you have to have them uploaded to an online site. eg. facebook,ebay,this site ect. You then right click on the pic you want to copy....click copy...then paste it to the page where you want it to go. For example...

Upload your pic to facebook,photobucket,microsoft skydrive ect.

Then go to the pic you want.

.. once on the picture you want to upload right click the mouse on the picture. Then...

a tab will open...

Click copy...

Open this thread... (eg.2004 TTR250S River Bottom Ripper.)

Then... click reply (as always)

Right click the mouse..

Select paste...

It is now on the page...

Remember: If you delete it from the online site that you copied it from eg. facebook,photobucket,ect it will dissapear from this site & only a red cross & blank pic will be left on this site.

Good work darin although it would be better if the pics were uploaded so we don't have to click on them. (just a suggestion)

I really think that finding a rear gaurd that is the same as a TTR250 is impossible (it seems)

How do I upload them?

I think you are correct regarding the MX rear fender.

I'm coming up empty.

Has anyone modified an older YZ fender and cut to fit?

Someone has got to have tried SOMEthing.

Hi Darin

I hope you don't mind but I edited your messages so that the pics showed better.

You had done the hard work uploading them to the forum. All I did was to click on "Insert" to the right of each pic's filename at the bottom of the screen and then "Remove" to take off the thumbnail wink
