I need a 150 main jet

I I'm new to this fantastic forum & I need to know where I can buy a 150 main jet for my 4GY TTR....My local yam dealer is closed so need somewhere I can buy online...also a part number or someone that knows what jet type I need.

I have a 147 in at the mo but a plug chop says it's running lean so want to try a 150.

Thanks

147mm main jet should be fine?? I take it your from Australia with the 147mm wink Best bet would be to buy the sigma kit i bought.  Here is the kit i bought on ebay here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-TT250-R-TT-250-250R-TTR250-TTR-TT-R250-Carburetor-Carb-Stage-1-3-Jet-Kit-/230862588914?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35c07b8bf2

Failing that look on powersportsplus.net or boats.net.

Try Fowlers of Bristol - I bought a 150 from them over the phone a few months ago - see http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t49951533/jetting-information/

Okay maybe UK have 147mm standard also or someone has fitted this. Not sure why you would need a 150 main jet unless fitting an aftermarket exhuast & air filter??confuse My 147mm was fine with standard components.

Bad news....I can't find it & been through all the presents...

Basically you send your make, model, elevation, mods, ect. & they send what they think will be right. You could ask them for whatever size you want...as far as i know.

If i find it i will upload a pic but otherwize it's back to waiting for the mailman to deliver as usual hmm

I like my Stock Std TTR, no mucking about with Airboxes and exhausts and jets

I recon It has more than enough power to get me into trouble if I get over enthusiastic with the throttle

Suspention mods are the go I think, get the power to the ground !

IMO smile

Oh okay fair enough.wink I have a FMF 4Q mufler & sigma kit # 52.5 pilot/#150 main. Haven't done mods to the air box yet apart from cut the snorkel short.

I'm looking for a bit more power myself so i'm hoping this combo should do the trick nicely.smile

Have a few spare in case wink

Hi Jarrah

What exactly did you get in the Sigma kit please? The eBay advert seems quite generic.

Cheers

Brian

PS Sorry to go off topic a tad but it is still about carbs and jets wink

I took out the carpet after buying another Sigma kit & guess what i found......You guessed it,my original lost oneno Always seems to happen like that ??confuse

Well here is the list of parts but only the jets can be used as the slide mod is not for TTR250's & also don't need the spacers or nylon spacer.

This is the pilot jets....OEM left/Sigma right.

Slightly different shapes but still fits perfect...

This is the Main jets. The only difference is the Sigma kit has a flathead screwdriver head...

The bag that says #150mm is actually the #147mm standard main jet as i have already replaced it with the #150mm

I would have been more happy with #148-#150 Main jet but will hopefully get that in the next kit.
