If you want to repair it...

  1. If it is Broken completely use plastic  Araldite to glue together then move on to the next step

 

     2. Using brand_44_adminthumb.gif

HIGH TEMPERATURE SILICONE OTTOSEAL S25 OTTOSEAL S17 HIGH TEMPERATURE SILICONE Put a layer say 2mm inside the rubber boot & a good thick layer outside

  • You can also use brand_36_adminthumb.jpg

SIKAFLEX 11FC+ ADHESIVE & SEALANT

Or SIKAFLEX 291I MARINE ADHESIVE & SEALANT

  • Leave until fully cured

It never fails & works well. Not sure how long it would last but i used this method (twice) longest was 3mths & had no problems.

Also if your stuck maybe Brian has one laying around??

I have just noticed that my carb stub is split, I thought the bike was running slightly strange! Has anyone got a spare kicking around they would like to trade for some PayPal tokens Adam.

Hey Mark,

              No good cry I have two that i repaired & one that's good. I'm not sure how much importing would be? or whether it would be worth importing but if you want prices are below...

 AU $10.00 + Postage for repaired or..

AU $30.00 + postage for the good one.

Postage will be about 19.00 with a tracking number.

Sorry i can't make it any cheaper but it will cost me more to find a spare.

Hi jarrah
Thanks for the advice, I don't think with the shipping will make it cost effective buying one from you but thanks for the offer. New ones are available so may go down that route. Mine has a split in it about 1/2 inch long from the head side towords the middle, it may repair, so I may give it ago before splashing out on one!
