Steve, we have loads of forests here, commercial plantations, many of which are owned by the Forestry Commision, a government dept owned by the tax payer, but they don't like motorized stuff in there.

Through many explorations I have found quiet tracks where access isn't a great hassle, but I tend to ride solo in case word gets round and too much attention gets aroused.

Some tracks are used by bikes/walkers/horse riders and so far I haven't been reported. Taking off the helmet and having a blether lets them know it's a mad/harmless pensioner on the loose!

The police bike is in Glasgow where I lived 3 years ago and I got talking to the rider. They preferred the ST1300 but liked the Yam FJR engine.

The pic was taken on one of our hot days, ie over 15℃

Hi Clutha

Nice countryside, how much in the way of trails are in the area, some of it looks seriously steep

That's also one very cool looking Cop Bike

And where did you get that Avatar, he looks like one of the cast from the zombie movie 28 weeks later biggrin

Zombi movies would be my favourite Sci Fi Genre, just finished watching season 2 of the US series "The Walking Dead" the best Zombi series ever !!
