TTR vs KTM
Permalink

The last few weeks i have been riding with guys who all have 250cc KTM's (four & two stroke) .On every ride that we have had at least one KTM have needed some sort of attention (not trail damaged), while my well used TTR just keeps going. These guys are good riders (fastish) but the time waiting for the repairs to be carried out, well enuff said.Better MPG too!

The KTM's side stand problems is a bit of a running joke but, lately, some subframes have fallen off as well confuse

See http://devongtrf.activeboard.com/t50002257/in-the-morning/?page=1#lastPostAnchor and scroll up a message or two.

Fuelling is also a problem with Katooms, particularly the 2-smokes, unless bigger tanks fitted.

At the end of the day the KTMs are competition bikes whereas TTRs are more trail/enduro.
