Exhaust and Airbox problems
Permalink

Hi All,

Am in the process of doing some work on the TTR belonging to my other half, one of the things I have done is put an airbox back on it as it had a K+N cone filter, which to my mind for trailriding is far from ideal! Anyway I sourced one on ebay, and eventually got it into place, however the bike also doesn't have a standard, or even pattern/after market end can and link pipe, so the link pipe just fouls the bottom of the airbox, I didnt notice until it smoked! So the point of the post is, I could replace witha second hand standard airbox, which is fine if I can find one I can afford, or I am lookign into other options, such as some sort of heat proof tape. But I was wondering if anyone on here had a bright idea which might help? (or maybe a second hand endcan lying around that is complete without an holes they would sell me?

Thanks in advance

Dave

Bad luck Dave no

If you are handy with ali and a rivet gun (to reduce the noise output) then my exhaust on eBay might be a cheap option for a replacement:

If you were the winning bidder then I have a s/h airbox that you might be interested in wink

Hmm, I doubt I have the ability with ali and a rivet gun, I wouldnt have a clue on where to start with that! But thanks for pointing it out, Will let you know if I want the airbox.

I still have a couple of jobs to do on the bike to keep me busy for a few hours yet.
