Gday Guys and Gals, enjoy the site and have unearthed some nice info.

Have been riding for a few years since I was 16 now 39 .....been trhough a couple of bikes and ridden road and dirt and little track.

Have just parted with my beloved 2005 DR 650 which was a great bike  due to new arrival of son  and needed to downsize gargae.

Have taken ownership of my lovely wifes 2001 TTR 250 which is a  top bike, have ridden it mostly on long camping trips  recently completed a 1400 km trip over 5 days and never missed a beat, she does everything I ask just have to dance a little on the gear shift to keep it moving.

Mods,  staintune pipe and header, Band B luggage rack, Renthal bars, 12v plug, hand guards, VisonX LED riding lights, ,hardwire GPS ,and ram mount mirrors.

I run a Giant loop Great Basin  looks like a slug mating with the rear end but I like the kit.

Just  finished reading  Brindabellas  most awesome  Fuel Tank upgrade project , great work.

Thats it for now, poor pics but a bad pic is better than no pic.

Have a project coming up and will start up soon.

Cheers

Daz

Hi and welcome, Daz.

You share a nice bit of the world to ride bikes, especialy in the outbacks of Sydney, or so I've been told.

A long-time mate of mine lives 300 km northwest of you in Gulgong. Unfortunately he doesn't ride bikes anymore since being attacked by a roo on the road! no

Being TTRless, how does your "lovely wife" get around now?

Martyn

Hi there TTpower,

the Double Take "ram mount" mirror looks interesting. it looks like you chose to mount on their bar clamp rather than get the yamaha left hand thread adapter for the original mounting spot. do you have any comments on the mirror setup?

also, I see you have a B and B rack. there is a fairly active rack discussion thread at

http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t48729282/rack-something-to-build-when-you-are-too-sick-to-ride/

why not add a post about your rack? those racks look good and strong and not likely to catch your leg when getting on the bike, (although maybe hard to hold a milk crate on it). but where do they bolt on (same place as Brian's racks?) and were there any fitting issues. and how did your giant loop "slug" escape being fried by the exhaust?
