Saying hi, requiering information about VIN
Permalink

Hello out there,

Like to introduce myself. Had several Enduro models varying from 250 to 600cc. All of them four-stroke except for one, namely a KTM 250.

I'm not so keen on watercooled engines and pistons that have, nearly, the same servicelife as for twostroke. Before i owned a TT350, was a nice machine. Guess that the TTR hasn't that much horsepower but framework and suspension are a lot better. I hope that adapting it to kickstarting is performable.

What does "A" stand for on VIN code? Have they been producing in just one country?

Thanks in advance for informing me about  and feasibility of mounting kickstarter.

Welcome to the forum Abraham biggrin

As far as I am aware all the TTRs were built in Japan.

If you have the VIN number put it in here http://www.autobaza.pl/  and you may get some extra information.

There are quite a few pictorial guides linked into here including one on retro-fitting a kickstart which will hopefully answer your question.

Best wishes

Brian
