Grabbed a mate and did wombeyan caves road today. weather was perfect this time.
mate nearly got hit by a kangaroo, i nearly got hit by some kind of hawk that was sitting on the side of the road and decided to fly at me as i approached it. I also had a fly go up my nose at 100km/h on the way, and i couldnt blow it out, so i had to snort it up and into my mouth then spit it out. very gross.
Wombeyan caves road can be found by travelling from Goulburn on Taralga road (the turn off about 5 min past Taralga) and then chucking a right when you see the big sign. It comes out at Mittagong 85km later, or you could start there. The Caves are cool. We turned around at Mittagong and rode it again as we didnt want to do the boring highway from Mittagong back to Goulburn.
I noticed that the track up to Mittagong from goodmans ford (half way) was very very dusty and my back wheel slid out far easier compared to the other half of the track on the way down to the ford. I liked it better.
There were a few small rocks in the road from the recent landslides also. pics below.
NO. the nomad HAS NOT BROKEN. Pedrosan was referring to my mates fuel can, which i replied nearly went under my wheels on the way home, as it fell off the back of his bike, as i was behind him.
