Opposite for me. Wanted an OE but ended up with a Raid. Now I love the big comfy seat, decent size tank and headlight I can see by. Reckon I was lucky I could only find a Raid.

I went with full intention of buying an OE, frapped it up, heard an awful noise from the sprag, and then the dealer said "well I have this other one, you can have it for the same price" - saw a Raid parked up, didn't really like it but started it and it sounded sweet as a nut, bought it 5mins later. Now I love the thing! biggrin

Only a couple of raids are for sale at the mo and this one popped up for a grand with 6,000 miles and even with abit of work will be a good bike.

The only thing that put me off the raid is the steel swing arm and lower seat, but might get a raid head lamp and tank when one pops up.
