Two TTRs and one Honda were out and about today. One TTR had an Acerbis tank too so we were all right if the other two ran short.
It started off with a bit of drizzle but soon "turned out nice again".
We called in at an old twin-shock place and had a ride on a Triumph Cub.
Well, Tigerman had a ride on a Tiger Cub
whilst I was taking the picture after my little test on the Cub. It's a cracking little bike, 250cc by courtesy of Sirco and full of trick stuff - still eligible for pre-65 trials though.
Anyway, we got nearly as far as Axminster but did go through/near Hawkchurch and even strayed near Chard as we wound our way back through Stockland, Membury, Shute, Umborne and Colyton.
See Pauls big tank - it holds a lot more than my 10 litre blue job.
I don't know how many lanes we did but I clocked nigh on 100 miles for the day.
We split up to take our own roads home just outside of Beer.
It was extremely enjoyable, just the three of us on two TTRs and one Honda.
Devon, Dorset and Somerset in one day - smashing.
What a lovely way to spend a Saturday - looking forward to the next time.
Good to see you out and about Martyn! We had the drizzle first thing but it didn't last long and we had a really nice day here at Exton.
I am confined to TTR Towers for the next week or so as Mrs TTR is organising an office revamp to accomodate the growing range of spares plus I am trying to organise my own outside workspace to make it easier to find stuff
Hope to get the work done quick so that I can get out on the TTR again
Looks good, I'm off on my first proper green laning trip next week fingers crossed. Up into the Yorkshire Dales, Bolton Abbey, Hawes etc... I'm going to try and find time in and amongst falling off to take some photos and if I do I'll put them up :)
