Why not compare the result you get with the adjacent link that was factory pressed?
Should be about right if it looks as good as all the other links.

quick question, when riveting master links with a rivet tool (one i just ordered from America) how much do you rivet each pin? as in how wide should the rivet be after being pressed to confidently stop the link from failing.

cant find anything on the net. would a mm increase in diameter be enough or too much.

my calipers can accurately measure fractions of a mm so no dramas there.
