hey guys, i got to 200km and changed the oil on my new 2011 TTR. it was very black.

i then put spare full synthetic oil i use in my ducati 1100 in the TTR, but have since remembered that this may not be recommended for a new bike like my TTR as it hasnt finished breaking in. I read this is because of glazing in the cylendar.

So, for all you engine builders/mechanics out there - should i dump the full synthetic i have put in (not bothered) and replace with mineral oil until around 1,000 km. OR should i leave it.

If i should dump and replace with a mineral for break in, what would you use? i read that many TTR enduro racers have used nothing but Castrol 4t. Others swear by yamalube.

I would dump the oil and run it in on a semi-synthetic 10/40 oil. Air cooled engines like a bit of body to their lube wink
