Headlight guard?

Hi Paul,

I purchased a Stainless Steel Headlight Guard for a Lambretta GP of fleebay - item no.  350525672187

Then just welded a couple of stainless arms to the sides so as to connect with the head light bolts, leaving enough room for glass cleaning.

Some people just cut a pierce of perspex and fix with small velcro tabs.

Alec

Does anyone know of a guard that fits or can be adapted to fit the original headlight on a 2004?

Can be either metal or perspex.

If not, I am toying with the idea of making one.  Do you think its worth it, or just better to go with an aftermarket light and cowling like Brian has for sale?

Paul.

Have you a pic of the guard fitted please Alec?

I lost a headlight a few years ago to a rider in front giving it the beans on a stony lane and got peppered with flying stones - costly to replace cry

Brian,

Sorry about poor, rushed pics, it was freezing in the garage!

Hi Alec,

Thank you for posting, that is exactly the thing I wanted.  Partly off the shelf with a little bit of mod.  Perfect.

I also like the sound of the perpsex idea.  Any problems with heat from the lamp?

Brian, that is exactly what happened to me by an over zealous KTM rider.  That's when I came askng about glass replacements last year.  I was lucky, I found one on fleebay for £15! (after looking for 6-months)  But I don't think I'll be that lucky next time.

Prevention is better than cure!

Cheers, Paul
