Took the TTR out for its first extended (60 mi) off-tarmac trip on a fun dirt road along the crest of the mountain range above the Big Sur Coast in California.  It really performed well and I felt very comfortable on it.  A great day for riding in a favorite place.

What better - sun, sea, open country, someone to talk to - Heaven? biggrin

It looks to be dry and smooth - maybe some sludge, rain, ruts and fords next time? hmm

Actually, it was a mixed bag of dirt conditions:  some parts smooth and dry-looking, as you see, but also large puddles, damp areas, places with sticky mud that filled up the knobbies and made the surface a bit slick, rocky spots, and rutted spots.  Conditions change continuously there, but its all fun.  I guess we just stopped at the places that were easy to stop at.

You are right, though, Martyn:  a heavenly experience.
