Much depends on whether your shock just needs an oil change and re-gas, a new seal head, bump stop and/or the rod re-chroming (expensive!).

This is what's in the FAQ:

Refurbishing a TTR rear shock absorber. The part number of the rear shock is 5GF-22210-00-P0 but a new one is very expensive so repairs are usually cost effective! In the UK, Justin Gibbs at Saltash offers a superb service. Click here for details. Justin is also able to alter the ride height of the shock absorber if required. A DIY approach is described here!

Parts for forks and shock. Race Tech sell rebuild parts for the front forks and the rear shock inc. the seal head, shock shaft bushing, bottom-out bumper, and reservoir bladder - click here for prices etc.

Greywulf's web page is very interesting but it doesn't tempt me to have a go myself!

Totally TTRs now sell the seal head if you fancied having a go yourself - see here

Just for info' Ray's Off Road Bikes in Banham Norfolk rebuilds rear shocks - properly - 01953-888348. He is always very busy but if you make a date with him for work and return its a firm deal.

.....shameless plug as he is a good friend of mine....68 years old, ex Bavins, pleasantly crusty, been there done it all, with an enviously good reputation in Norfolk and Suffolk. One man band, cheap, honest, rides a stunning 100% non-original TY175 very well and I'm dreading the day he retires.

I'm sure anyone competing MX, Enduro around South Norfolk/ Suffolk will have heard of Ray so no need to take my word for it....he won't thank me for the extra work but decent & cheap suspension work is hard to find.
