I havecopied this from the old Yahoo Group. Just wondering if anyone has tried doing the repair?

Rear shock repair.

I was worried that parts would be proprietary and possibly unobtainable but I
have just found an amazing "show and tell" on our equivalent Russian forum which
goes through the whole procedure but you need to register on the site before you can access the pages - see

Unless I have got it wrong, the Kayaba seal head (Kayaba Part number
1314-0075)is obtainable here
http://www.shspowersports.com/eshopprod_cat_7200-58828-28432_product_1092741_keyword_.KYB_GENUINE_PARTS_REAR_SHOCK_C.htm

Fascinating stuff because I confess to not knowing how the TTR shock worked and
how the oil and nitrogen (used for pressurising the shock) were kept separate
etc. The diagrams show it all and Google Chrome's "Translate a page" from
Russian to English made it just about understandable.

Some good advice given though - maybe "don't try this at home!"!
