Unlike the originals, the after-market shims are in intervals of .005mm or is that 0.05….  but that is usually sufficient to get the clearance within specification.

The TTR shims are 9.48mm in diameter and these guys do them for £2.85 each inc. p&p - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VALVE-SHIMS-CRF-RMZ-KXF-YZF-WRF-TTR-7.48mm-9.48mm_W0QQitemZ230410314580QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=&rvr_id=&cguid=2377c4bf1270a0e2055492c4fff3925d#ht_2243wt_905

If you are desperate then ring them on 05600253049 (local call rate) and they will get the shims to you for the following day. You can pay by card over the phone. The guy may still have his 1993 TTR which he has owned since ‘95/96  wink
