Hopefully this doesn't get lost in the cloud of spam the forum's being hit with at the moment!
This morning I rode the bike to work, as it's a short ride I didn't bother with earplugs so I've noticed a slight rattly/ticky sound when returning to idle after revving, very short and quite quiet but definitely something. It's definitely not drivechain as it does it stationary with the clutch in. Sounds a bit like a loose chain though
I'm guessing this could likely be the cam chain being a little loose, it's a brand new chain so I guess if so the culprit has to be the tensioner. It was working fine when I reinstalled it after my 350 build this year and of course I was listening carefully after startup so the sound wasn't there. I guess maybe removing/reinstalling could have caused the tensioner to fail, it looked old and possibly original
Good news is it's fiddly but easy to get to without taking everything apart, but since they aren't particularly cheap wanted to check if anyone else had similar before I buy one
Only other thing I noticed was a fair bit of stuff attached to my magnetic sump plug and in the filter on the oil change, but since it's a fresh top and bottom end (and I don't have the time to open it all up again) I kind of hoped it was just the new bits bedding in and will change oil soon and check again. Apart from that all running great and very strong
