took the carb off and the inlet rubber has delaminated
question is, are any of the after market inlet rubbers any good or should i stick with genuine ?
I see some pretty nasty looking ones at less than £10 and have no interest but I see some at approx £30 that look as if they are actually made of rubber and could be a possibility ?
any experiences ?
thanks

i have used the ones on Ebay from China , they don't last very long , tying a Zip tie around them does help them last longer, the genuine Yamaha ones are always the best option i went with the aftermarket ones because Yamaha Australia offered to put it on back order but couldn't give a delivery time , i wanted to ride so I'm using another Chinese one it's been on a couple of months now and still ok .
i cant remember which one i ordered but it looked like there are only 2 Chinese ones made just the price varies, the last one was a hard plastic one the one on now is a more flexible rubber one that feels a lot more like the Yamaha one. ( still has the metal core )

If you have time to try the Chinese copies and find one that works and is moulded the right way up (!) fine, but it seems very hit and miss. Steve has genuine ones in the shop, that you know will fit and last. Genuine parts are not cheap, but thank god we can still get them!
