Hi All I ride my TTR250 in the dusty outback of NSW Australia (Cobar). More recently the smaller instrument panel had started to get red dust inside the indicators making it harder to see that the bike was in Neutral etc. So I thought others may have a similar problem and the fix was quiet easy. I have attached some pictures.
Basically take the headlight cover cowling off, 1 x screw at the centre bottom. Then remove cover from the grommets. Then you can undo the two bolt holding the instrument panels in place. Then for the smaller panel two small Phillip's head screws release the two sections apart and you can then dust out the area and then its clear to put back together.
Nice work, good guide that!
As Brian says, the LED upgrades cheap and worth while but if you do ride at night alot, avoid doing the high beam, it can be too bright!

Good point Dan! Hadn't thought of that.
I just upgraded my neutral light so that it is more visible in daylight.
I have fitted a buzzer on my indicators so didn't worry about that bulb
