Yamaha TT-R 250 ‘Bluey’ For Sale. Adventure ReadyNOW SOLD
As I am hanging up my trail boots, for sale is my 2005 (55 plate) Yamaha TT-R 250 which has covered just 7500 miles from new and only 1200 miles in my 5 years of ownership. Two keys and V5 present and in my name/address. Full paper MOT history present to confirm low milage.
I have kept it garaged, well serviced and maintained. It is MOT’D until 22nd June 2024, and it has just had new engine Oil and Filter, air filter, new fork seals and oil, a rear suspension link service including swing arm out to check and grease all pivots. I have recently fitted a new Krooze-tune lowering link with new bearings and seals (reduces seat height by 25mm) the standard drop link and new bearings are included and are an easy swap. I have also just fitted a new Motobatt battery.
My use has mostly been on tarmac with some very gentle trails but the bike does have the usual trail use scuffs as pictured.
The bike is set up with Adventure riding/exploring in mind. It is fitted with Renthal Dakar bars, two stage heated grips, folding mirrors, hand guards, Sat-Map GPS with OS 1:50,000 GB Maps, a very well-engineered custom-built rear rack and panier supports complete with panniers, a Peli-case top-box and a quality bash plate. The bike is shod with a good set of road legal Michelin Enduro Comp tyres and I have just put in new Michelin tubes. The bike has Pivot Pegs foot-rests fitted which are broad, comfy and pivot with your feet. An excellent condition DID X-ring chain and 14/44 ratio sprockets are fitted which I have found to be the optimum gearing for road and gentle trail riding.
I have numerous spares included in the sale, a spare seat that I was intending to get re-padded for long distance riding but found the standard seat was fine for my limited use. I have both an excellent condition standard exhaust and a lighter Pro-Circuit exhaust (fitted) which is a bit louder but not excessive. I have spare packing material for this if you ever need it and the exhausts can be swapped over in under 10 mins, they both run well on the same carburettor settings.
All standard fixtures and fittings are included, foot pegs, mirrors, grab handles, engine bar, tool kit etc. It even has a full tank of fuel!
Due to my limited riding, I have always kept the bike up on a hydraulic lift (pictured) to maintain the tyres, it also makes maintenance very easy, this lift is included in the sale.
For simplicity I would like to sell everything as a complete package, I feel I have priced it very fairly considering the condition, low milage and value of all the extras. I may consider putting the bike back to standard and selling the extras separately so all offers considered. The bike is located in Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 (UK) Asking price £3,450.00

Bike and all extras now sold to a very nice gent who hopefully will join the forum in the near future to continue the life story and adventure log of the wonderful 'mossproof' rack and pannier system!
