Just posting this in case anyone is curious about their own bike and situation.

 
 
This week I took my blue TTR along to Stevenage, Herts for a ULEZ / Euro 3 emissions test:
 
 
Glad to say the bike passed the inspection with a NOx level of 0.1 g/km and is now exempt from the ULEZ daily charge of £12.50.
 

The scheme requires NOx emissions to be equal to or less than 0.15 g/km.

My initial enquiry with Yamaha UK in May last year resulted in an email response stating my bike wouldn’t be exempt as it had a NOx level of 0.18 g/km.

Continued curiosity and pure pig headedness led to my Stevenage visit this week and I gave myself the best chance of success by a bit of prep beforehand…..new spark plug, air filter and tank full of fresh premium fuel.

For other context, my bike is one of Brian’s specials and now has 9300 miles on the clock:

Given their age and varying mileage, every TTR could test differently but I thought I would post this info as a guide in case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation where they live, work and play and the increasing number of emission control zones.

Glad to report the bike is still running like clockwork Brian, no doubt all thanks to your terrific rebuild.

Just as pleased now with my purchase as I was back in 2013.

I’m afraid to admit the only deterioration since then is with me!!!
