A forum for owners of Yamaha TTR250 trail and enduro bikes!

Hey everyone.  First I am glad this forum exists as I have taken in a stray Yamaha TTR250. Model year is 2005. I am from TN living in CA.  Proud owner of several bikes Harleys, Moto Guzzi, Kawasaki, Honda, Beta and now the Yamaha. I am a reluctant keeper of this bike.  It was one of those 'I know you like to work on bikes' things. Anyway long story short I am wanting to finish the carb rebuild and see if I can get it running...did I mention it doesn't run and been parked for maybe 5 years with fuel in it?  Once running I am contemplating giving it back to him.  Originally the plan was to pay about $500 if I could get it to run. Now as I have inventoried all the problems I need to address I am at a solid offer on a running bike not including my time. Any advice? I have attached some before and current state. Cleaned up it looks great.
