Another TTR Rescue!

When this mint condition 2006 TTR-250 showed-up on fb marketplace for $2,600, I had to save it from the ebayers who part them out.  With the exception of the carb, it has not been wrenched on.  It only has 126 miles on the meter.  Judging from the pristine condition and original Dunlop D-739's, I believe it.  Not even a scratch on the front forks. There are a few scratches on the lower frame, swingarm and rear sprocket.  It definitely was garage stored all of its life.  Not a spot of rust anywhere.  All rubber, tubing, and plastics are still like new.  It wasn't running so it needed a bit of TLC.  I replaced the deteriorated pet****, cleaned the fuel lines, and rebuilt the carb.  Changed the oil and got her running good (on ethanol-free gas, of course).  Compression check was 180 psi.   Then I misted the cylinder with oil, set the piston at TDC (to relieve valve spring compression) and drained all of the gas.  This one is definitely a keeper!

Looks great, very tidy & a good find. Can you put rego on that bike in the states ? or can you ride some areas with out rego. Seeing riding areas that Itchy boots has shown in her travels look fantastic

Sample of Itchy boots video for those that don't know about her youtu.be/Ws6WKi3v5bk
