Clutch question

I was looking at the clutch diagram from the manual and noticed that part 11 in the photo does not exist (in the manual I have). The photo is from Brian's guide. Is this part for the blue or OE TTRs only? What if it is missing, would it cause a problem?

Well spotted Christos! I had no idea that it is missing from the fiche for the later models.

It is apparently a push rod seal - see here for a photo.

I can only think it was meant to stop oil being forced up through the clutch mechanism under pressure. Even so, I can't think it would have done much as there is already an oil seal on the push lever assembly.

I haven't got the parts here to look at but it looks as if it may fit onto the short push rod. Maybe it came already attached to the later model's push rod?

Bit of a mystery wink

Brian

Thank you Brian for the verification. I am contemplating on a clutch basket upgrade to 7-plates one and was looking over the diagrams to see what should be changed....
